In 1922 this company emerged out of H-G Manufacturing Co., which was co-founded by J. F. Galvin. A couple of Galvin motors we have seen are similar or identical to motors from H-G. In any event, the company went under in 1932. The assets of the company were acquired by Knapp-Monarch Co., which was headquartered in Belleville, IL, but had roots in St. Louis. In 1969, Knapp-Monarch was acquired by Hoover Co.
