Northfield 12HD jointer. This jointer was recently disassembled, repainted, greased and adjusted. It is clean top to bottom, inside and out. The tables are dead flat(.0015) and co-planer to within .002 or better. There is no noise or vibration detectable. It comes with two sets of knives that are new or newly sharpened. The new ones are installed at this time and have only been used for test cuts after the complete restoration.
The machine was originally purchased in 1973 by the US military and appears to have seen very little use as evidenced by the lack of pith build up under the tables and head and the protective coatings that were still in place on some bits of the machine. It even had the original shipping strap on the out feed table from the factory.
The jointer comes with an original owners manual that was sourced from Northfield. There are absolutely no missing or broken parts and each piece moves effortlessly and is factory or factory specs.
This is one awesome jointer in nearly new condition at a great price. There is no new jointer on the market that can hold a candle to this Northfiled anywhere near the price. IMO.
