Northfield 20” bandsaw.
12” resaw capacity, machine completely serviced, new rubber tires, new Carter CP20 guides, wiring replaced. This is an excellent cutting saw for the woodworking machine collector or woodworking shop. Because of its build quality with heavy cast iron and poured babbit fittings, there is little to no vibration that reflects in the cutting.
Rare but convenient size makes this saw desirable for even small shops. This would be used for fine precision cutting or resawing for veneer.
Motor is three phase but with the included vfd, single phase 220v is needed. Also has variable speed for fine tooth blades used in cutting aluminum to light steel.
This machine is documented from Northfield Machinery in WI as being built in 1945. Had to get special permission to build the machine due to war efforts. The saw was documented as having to be sold without any motor or pulleys from customers request.
