My great uncle owned this table saw, he was a master jury rigger and could reuse almost anything, he made the first riding lawn mower in our home town, it was not much to look at but it worked (I would love to have that thing!). Anyway he left the saw to me complete with the greatest safety feature. On the right front side of the table there is a deeply pitted stain where his hand rested soon after he cut off his right pinky finger one day. Every time I use this saw I look at that and then double check myself against doing the same thing, so far so good! The Saw has been heavily used over the years and is on his rolling base, I broke the motor mount 6 years ago and a friend made me a new one of stainless steel (probably worth more than the whole saw!). I have no idea where or when he got the saw, but I have used it since 1983, he was 83 when he passed.
