This machine came out of an old cabinet shop. They had about 20 holes drilled into the table to mount various jigs on, and the guide groove for the slide was never machined into the table top (the table has the extra metal cast into it for the groove, but it was never machined in). The guy I bought this from had a second one of these machines and the Mack 100 logo was fancier looking and the table on that one had the guide groove machined into it. On these machines the table moves up and down to adjust the cut, and the spindle is stationary. I never saw a shaper like this.
