I aquired this machine from a blacksmith, who informed me that he bought it from a fellow that had purchased it in a tool lot from the Norfolk & southern Railroad. The machine had been disconected by a electrician and sat in a warehouse until it was sold to the previous owner. It is 5 HP 220 3 Phase, The new owner said that it was far too big for him and that he wanted something smaller.I brought it home upon inspection,I found a brass tag that read, N&W RY CO.( Norfolk & Western Railway Co.)Machine # 3225 Is that cool or what.I plan to clean it up and put it in my shop and use it.
