I bought this machine from a gentleman in Pittsburgh PA about a year ago. He said it was in the shop at the airport where he worked. He had purchased it several years ago from them. The table measures 7 3/4" by 8 3/8" the quill travel is 3 1/2". The motor is a General Electric 1/4hp 1725 rpm, it has a patent date of Dec 22, 1925. The motor frame is a #147, the model is 26136 and made in Schnectady NY. I still have some work to do, the table has an incredible smile of shame and the collar ties are broken. That is why there isn't any paint on these areas yet. I chose W/T green for the unit with gloss black accents. It was originally a flat and incredibly thick black color. The machine was manufactured in Chicago Heights ILL. It will be going into storage at my new shop and I wanted to post some pictures before it gets dirty. I think that this machine is quite interesting because of the motor position. It appears to be a transition machine from having the motor mounted on the floor and a regular style drill press which they came out with a few years after this was probably manufactured. I thought for a while that this motor mount may have been some adaptation from a previous owner, but all the casting pcs have sequential numbers cast into them and therefor a factory built item.
