Comments:
I acquired this machine a few years ago at an auction liquidating an old wooden box factory in York, PA. Nice slow speed (1150 RPM) would make it a good tool grinder, but alas, it has no tool rests or guards. Single phase, 110 volts, 1/2 horsepower drawing 6.5 amps. There are remnants of a really classy paint scheme featuring a deep red field with black and gold pin striping.

I contacted Hobart to see if they had more info on this machine and was connected with their senior (as in tenure) customer service representative. He was totally befuddled by my pictures, having been certain that I was talking about a coffee grinder.

This machine is WAY down my restoration queue, but should be pretty kewl when done.
