I saw this Northfield Band saw on Ebay and fell in love with it. I had a old Delta 14" my grandfather gave me. I was looking to upgrade to some thing a little bigger. I looked around and decided I did not want a toy. Sooo.. I did not buy this off Ebay but visiting a friend in California allowed me to see the machine before buying it. I spoke with the seller a few times and all he could talk about was how nice this machine was. He was right it is in perfect shape minus the coke can stains on the table. No big deal. I ended up buying it and the seller was coming my way a month later so we made a deal on shipping. This is the heaviest duty little band saw I have ever seen. I built a mobile base to move this 1000 lb machine the shop. I added the rip fence and the light. This machine will last me a life time. Cutting with it is so smooth and effortless it just keeps cutting. I would recomend a Northfield 20" for the 8' ceiling shop any day.
