Here is an R.B. Rodgers Mfg. Co, 6" jointer. I bought this from a small cabnet maker who worked out of his garage. I have no prior history on the machine. It was in sad shape when I got it, but I was determined to restore it. I worked on and off over the course of a year and finished a few months ago. It didn't come with a cutter head guard, so I searched through the archives and combined some designs that I liked.
This is not the 6x55" jointer listed in the 1955 price list (http://www.owwm.com/files/PDF/Rogers/1955_PriceList.pdf) as this one is just over 49" long. The fence is supported by the bar that extends from the front of the machine to the back and is held on the bar by a single set screw. The serial number is double stamped over one number so it's either 21124 or 21224. I listed it as 21124 because the 1 is a heaver stamp.
This is powered by a 1 hp craftsman motor. The motor mount isn't original to the stand and was welded on by a previous owner.
