This table saw was purchased new in the late 1940s by my grand-uncle Ted Mielke. Although a paraplegic since age 5 due to polio, he used it to remodel 2 houses he owned, build a farm shop and machine shed, as well as many smaller projects.
It was my privilege to assist Ted when I was 6 years old, remodeling a fire damaged trailer house my Dad had bought cheap, before we moved into it. Ted used this table saw on that project, setting it right down on the floor at his work level.
When Ted died in 1980, his brother Ed, who was my grandfather, inherited this saw. My wife and I later painted my Grandparents's house in exchange for it. The saw has been in my family since new, and will never be sold in my lifetime.

The fence, miter gauge, wrench, and dado insert shown are original equipment. The paint color is not original.
