This Jointer (as well as the 18" P. Pryibil listed on this site) are from the historic Minneford's Yacht Yard on City Island NY and were used to build many famous world class watercraft, such as Dorade, Intrepid and Enterprise etc.

As you can see it had been retrofitted with a 5 hp direct drive motor.
Atlantic Works seemed to have a bigger is better Font size policy or as big as can fit on the machine. I wonder what their factory sign looked like. They probably spelled the words out with the placement of their windows!
