I bought this jointer, Jan. 2006 from Gene Blomquist in Northern Wisconsin. We made the trip up there from Southeast Missouri 1-1/2 days travel. It snowed on the way and while we loaded. (See the third pict.) We worked hard getting that big old heavy machine onto the trailer, Using leaverage and pipes to roll it onto the trailer deck and strapped on with 2" ratchet straps. My wife and daughter went with me, it's a family thing--less problems that way.
Gene sent this to me--
"If you want to go really deep you can also put the owner had it before us. His name was Frank M. Rarig Jr. He was the rich guy that bought all this one of a kind stuff up here."
This jointer was first entered by Jeff Joslin, the motor Jeff talked about is a 7hp 1ph and when Gene fired it up all the lights dimmed. It weighs at least 300lbs. He just offered it to me again but I didn't take him up on it, ether time.
I will update when the restoration is complete.
