This DP was originally purchased by my father when we were living in Montreal. I'm checking with the successor company for any details. Piecing bits together from the foggy memories of my family members it's mid-50s. I believe it's the original motor which is a Delco Model M2936X, 1750, 1/4HP. This is the only motor anyone remembers so if not the original it's close to.
You'll notice in one of the pictures that the thumbscrew is broken that holds the handle in place. My brother remembers breaking it off (almost 40 years ago!) and waiting with great anticipation for the return of my dad after work (everything was fine).
It has a 33B Jacobs chuck and the pipe is solid measuring 39.5". I cleaned it up with 0000 steel wool and a bit of light oil. There's no power switch . . . And of course I'd love to say that the hose to the right is for my Oneida 1.5HP dust collection system but alas . . . it's my dryer hose.

The label is a bit chipped, but still readable.
