This item appeared on a fairly popular on-line auction service in October of 2006. Listed as "possibly a welding table" it is uncertain what this relic is destined to be under new ownership. The table is about all that remains from a scroll saw built and sold in Philadelphia in the mid 1970s.
Missing its concentric wheel, pitman arm, sliding blade clamp assembly, and the whole ceiling rig, the base and casting are a mere shadow of this saw's former self. The catalog lists the saw as being 800 pounds in weight
The listed patent dates are for bandsaw improvements awarded to John Richards of Atlantic Works Machinery
