I purchased this machine in the spring of 2024 for $60 in Dallas, TX. Previous owner said it came with him from a move out of Virginia. It was set up as a band saw / sander combo when I got it.
I planned to restore it and keep it to use, but I found a Delta 14" band saw (which I would also eventually replace) not too long after this one. I followed through with a light restoration since I think I over paid and wouldn't get my money back as it was.
Here's all that I did to it:
- Repainted the base with Rustoleum metallic gray (really close match).
- Replaced the bend blade guard knob with a bolt.
- Recreated the front cover knobs by 3D printing them out of nylon and adding a dime to the front face to match the originals.
- 3D printed throat plate and spares.
- New blade.
- Made a motor bracket for the motor to hang below the saw in the stand.
Everything else worked well with the saw and it just needed to be tuned up. It was sold in the following Spring of 2025.
