I picked this machine up on October 21, 2023. I have been keeping my eyes open for a decent, American-made 1" belt sander to replace the couple I have had in the past, somewhat made with some plastic, and finally stumbled on this Craftsman, which I never knew existed. In fact, I never knew Craftsman ever sold a machine like this. The PO powered it on for me when I picked it up, and the belt tracks straight, and sounded good. No wobble, no bearing noise. It just worked. So, I forked over the cash and loaded it on my truck. I cleaned it up, oiled it up, replaced the sanding belt and disk, added a mobile base to it, made sure the tables were at 90-degrees to the sanding surfaces, and I'm off to the races. I don't need the disc as much as the belt, but it'll come in handy, I'm sure.
