Comments:
Happened to spy this machine along the corner of a property while out cruising our still-rural area. Light was just right and spring flora have yet to cover it over yet so it was not a mirage. Notice only one bird dropping on the main belt so I have to wonder how long it's been sitting. No houses nearby but will inquire about it soon. Condition is weathered but very close to complete. Even the bronze depth scale is there. Behind is the pulley countershaft assembly which could have been mounted below machine floor at some time. Just a guess but all surprisingly complete. There is also a vertical shaft evident from bottom which could be a side cutter as for jointing or molding while planing. Guessing capacity at 18" width with no more than 6" depth. Has square four-blade cutterhead, solid serrated infeed roller. Will get some better pix when the light is less contrasty but this is the best I can do at the present time.
Local's don't take kindly to strangers crawling over their belongings and property so have to find the owner before I dare get much closer to this interesting machine.
