A 4 inch Tauco jointer as found in second hand outlet in Pietermaritzburg South Africa. The Tauco badge has been removed, the rivet holes can be seen on vertical section front view. Obscure object attached to the knife guard is the return spring. Fittted to the recognisable splayed feet stand, the jointer has a hefty Tauco 1 hp motor. The details on the motor badge as follows: TAUCO Ball Bearing 1 HP Repulsion Induction Motor.
Model T 5809 Type SR Frame 182 110/20 Volts 14 Amps 1425 RPM 50 cycles 1 phase.
Temp. Rise 40 Deg C Cont. In fairly good shape, the jointer had not yet been priced to sell.
