I was in the market to replace my 100 series bench top DP and had been looking for a 150 bench top. I found this one and purchased it for $140.00 for it. This 150 is actually quite unique, it is an Emerson Gen 1 and the last generation of the 150 classic craftsman drill presses. One of the differences is that the quill return spring is captured inside the head and tension is adjusted with the hub and pinion. This means there is no exterior tension knob on the left side of the head.
I disassembled, cleaned, de-rusted, polished and painted this drill press. I replaced all the ball bearings and switch the original split phase motor with a 115.6962 CS motor that I rebuilt.
