I got this as part of payment for cleaning out a neighbor's garage after her husband died. It operates, but has no power cord so I can't try it till I put one on.
Manufacture date is a guess based on an image of an April 1955 Popular Mechanics ad, that's here on this forum, which referred to it as new.
