This planer/thicknesser (or I guess jointer/planer to you North Americans) was recently sold by the national railway from Christchurch, to a buyer in Dunedin, New Zealand.
The seller described the machine as being 1200mm (4') wide (long?), and table width as being 500mm wide (19 1/2"). Thicknessing capacity is 200mm (8") x 460mm (18") wide.
It was fitted with a 5.5hp, 400v, 1435rpm, 50hz, 3 phase, type CS induction motor manufactured by Westinghouse Electric & Mfg. Co. Pittsburgh, PA, USA (serial No. 2160480).
