My father bought the band saw in 1949 just after we arrived with the Arundle Castle ship in Cape Town as new immigrants from the Netherlands.
The machine earned its keep in the towns of Vanderbijlpark, Krugersdorp and the city of Pretoria. It was retired in 2005 and refurbished and put o work in 2018.
I am the only son and will pass on the machime to my grandson Heinrich Rossinger-Baudien .
