I received this lathe, along with a few other machines, as payment for some restoration work that I did for a gentleman. I am really excited about this lathe, it makes my little Atlas look like a toy and is even heavier, sturdier, more well built, etc., than my SB Heavy 10.

For it's age, almost 80 years old, it's in great shape. I can still see the frosting all along the bed ways from the hand scraping. No sign of wear at all and everything is nice and tight, no slop and very minimum backlash. The headstock spindle is 1-3/4 by 8 tpi with a No. 4 morse taper. No. 2MT in the tailstock. It came with a 4 jaw independant chuck and I also have a Bison 5C collet chuck and a set of collets for it.

I am still deciding if I want to do a full restoration on it. For now I think I will leave it like it is and put it to work. I did build a chip tray that mounts right under the bed and a tool tray with a draw for storage.

It is missing the threading dial so if you know where one is please let me know.
