The motor runs strong and quiet. When turned on, it sometimes needs a little help starting to spin (can blow the breaker if it doesn't get spinning right away), but once it starts up its fine. If it had a brake, it no longer works. The shaft spins for several minutes after the motor is turned off... definitely well lubricated!

The shaft has some sort of arbor extension. The extension is threaded on the end (where I currently have two different size grinding wheels, trying it out as a 6" grinder). The extension slips over the main shaft and has two set screws holding it in place. There is a definite wobble with the extension on. I haven't yet determined if the shaft itself wobbles or if it is just in the extension.
