This is a small hobby lathe, identical to the one in the '53 shopmaster catolog. Four-step pulley, 700 to 4K rpm., no.1 Morse tapers, cast aluminum bed. It was attached to a plywood base with dry-wall screws. A similar-vintage GE 1/3 HP 110V 1750rpm motor (appliance cord, no pesky switch) was securely and conveniently fastened in the same professional manner.
