Bought this saw from Al Mosera for what I consider a good price (maybe not a "you suck" price, but, hey, for a saw like this with good bearings, smooth running motor, &c.it works for me). Pick up was one of those good experiences: Since I have to take time off from the day job to travel to pick up arn, I try to pack as much as I can into every trip. Left home (Silver Spring, MD) at 2:30am and arrived in Hazlet, NJ around 6:30am. Al and I loaded the saw on the truck and then he took a few minutes before going to work to show me his new shop and stash of vintage machinery. Didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted there, but he had to go earn some $ and I had to move on to my next stop. On the road again by 7:15am. (To continue the story, see my entry for a 20" Rockwell Delta bandsaw.)
The saw does not appear to have been used much - blade looks to be original. I took it apart, cleaned all the grease and dried lubricants, repainted (the base was the biggest job), reassembled, put on a new blade, and made a table. Still have to do some work on the carriage so it will cut dados to perfection - but it functions great as a cut-off saw for now.
