The saw on this can be taken off with relative ease and be used by itself. I am guessing this tool is either an attachment for the circular saw or is part of a combination set of tools since it is tagged on the label "attachment". All the handles that are red on it are a bakelite type material. It is in excellent condition and was sitting in a corner of a garage for years doing nothing. Now that I own it, it is still sitting in a corner of a garage doing nothing. It has about enough power to make balsa wood airplanes. I was thinking of fabricating a plate and turning it into an overarm router of sorts but that is pretty far down on my list of things I am going to do.
