Great buy - Porter "Surfacemaster".
An underrated machine for flattening and preparing lumber for surfacing.
Came along with other facers from a Lazy Boy plant in Dayton, TN, sometime around 1999
Paid an average of about $250 or so for all four...really cheap and all the dealers were there.
Great machine for almost nothing
Facers were worthless for many years.

This 24" machine has the awesome Newman Quiet-Cut Spiral carbide head in it.
That's a big plus for pre-surfacing.
Ran it in our flooring mill for probably 10 years or more.
Was replaced by an S-282 double.
Went to a small millwork plant in AL.
