This 4 speed scroll saw was purchased on a local auction here in South Africa in May 2005 by means of a cell phone bid. It is a TAUCO which was the export arm of Rockwell Delta. The saw was complete but had not been well maintained. The motor is a DELCO 1/3 hp 220 volt. All parts are numbered NSS similar to Rockwell. There is no other label giving model or serial number so age cannot be determined but reckon about 1960. The stand is not original and appears to have been locally made up by the agents. It has the "splayed feet" but cannot take a caster set. It was completely stripped down and refurbished. Working perfectly now. I have since acquired a Delta Scroll Saw with Variable Speed Attachment which will become the keeper. This scroll saw will be put up for sale.
July 2010.
A friend of mine, Clive Hammond has been hankering for a Scroll Saw and wanted this spare one I had. It was apparently a scroll saw, the machine that his father allowed him to use when he was a young boy. The saw is now in his shop.

Non Standard Rockwell stand showing foot of leg. Possibly a locally made stand copying the original flare foot.
