Very nice jointer offered at a great price on ebay. Auction end date of Apr 23, 2005. Seller added the following:

This is a vintage Porter jointer. It has been well cared for and kept inside at the same location since new. It operates perfectley and is ready to install for service. Table is about 3.5 feet long and the cutting blades are 8 in. It comes with an extra set of blades shown in the pictures. Jointer also has two blade gaurds. One is the original Porter gaurd shown swung away in the pictures and a very nice accessory gaurd that raises and lowers with the thickness of material.

I am the second owner of this machine. It has sat in a basement wood shop since new. My guess is it is from the 30's because that is when the building it was in was rebuilt. The original building was knocked down in an earthquake and new equipment was purchased as a result.
