Comments:
The machine spent virtually all of its life in the Hickory NC to High Point NC area, which for decades constituted a major wood furniture manufacturing center in the USA.
It was shipped from the factory as a belt-drive model, but did not include a motor. The after-market motor's origins are unknown (nameplate missing) except that it is some repulsion-induction variant and - unusual for a factory saw - 230V, 1ph. Motor was held to the mounting plate with wood clamps. OSHA would have been proud.
