This machine is not mine---it is the property of submitter Nils Noack. Here is what he said of his borer:

"I have a single spindle, foot operated, horizontal borer. This unit manufactured by Rodgers is still in good working condition.

"The name plate on the Borer is imbossed brass with red painted background. It gives their address as
2600 So Santa Fe Los Angeles
Model 01 Serial 629194
I live in South central Michigan. I purchased this machine here in Michigan at an estate sale and have been using it ever since."
