Originally sold to city of Pittsburgh,Pa in the 30s, and ended up with small welding company in Pittsburgh. I purchase this and another larger machine in late 2015. This machine is in excellent condition, good bearings, and no broken gears on the "Back Gear" drive. I had to replace the flat belts because they were falling apart. This machine is a bit rare as the main motor to the lower pulley drive is gears. The motors drive gear teeth is a fiber material of some type. I am guessing it was to reduce gear noise. I cleaned up this machine, epoxied the drill dimples in the table and added a VFD to get 220v, three phase. I works great.
