I no longer own this saw.
I am posting this for archive and assembly purposes.
>>HISTORY<<
1990s: Traded a Topeka built Sprunger 20" scroll saw for this bench saw.
Feb2015: Disassembled for clean-up and repair.
Sep2015: Sold to a fellow OWWMer and delivered it to him at ArnFest 2015.
>>MACHINE<<
Sears Craftsman/Emerson 8" bench saw, missing original tag.
18" wide x 20" deep cast iron top.
Fence bar to top attachment: 4-bolt
Top to cabinet: 8-bolt
Fully enclosed blade carriage.
Disassembled for cleaning, repair, and adjustment.
Replaced original (damaged) cabinet with similar 1950s model.
Same carriage as 10" saw, so a 10" blade will fit with diminished front capacity.
Replaced original Hoover 77702-10 bearings with NTN 6202-5/8" bore.
Replaced damaged pulley.
Test run with ½hp Craftsman/Packard and 1hp Craftsman/Emerson motors--very smooth saw.
