An old friend who is a machinery dealer just gave this to me 01/06/05. It's a bit odd because of the foot operated spindle housing. the machine is called the Portermation. It would seem that it was designed to use a router collet also and be able to plunge cut similar to a late model Onsrud.
Upon recieving the machine it is a 2 speed motor running the spindle at 7500 and 15000 RPM. The spindle bearings turned out to be in perfect condition(a good thing because the cost $700.00)but the motor bearings were toast. Had to change the motor anyway because it is 440 only. Interesting to note that the original color was a blue/green very similar to late model Olivers.
