This is a Tannewitz GH bandsaw. I acqiured it from an equipment dealer in Jasper, IN. I don't know where he got it. It had some auction tags on it. I did nothing to it but roll it into the shop put it back together and wire it up. It is a dream to operate. The origional mechanical brake had been removed and it was refitted with an electric one.
The patent dates are in the picture and range from 1925-1943. The motor is a slow start with a speed of 900rpm. It takes as long for the machine to get up to speed as it does for the blade to stop.
