This machine belongs not to the poster, but to a semi-retired professor near Cape Town in South Africa. This machine was recently purhcased from a store room where various machines have been standing idle for more than 20 years.

The machine (serial no. 2-1327) has been stripped, cleaned and repainted and is now working fine. The owner also has other Tauco machines - a drill press, band saw, and jig-saw, all in more or less similar condition. All these machines were used in handwork trqaining for teachers, but became redundant and were stored.
