This is not my grinder.
Owners statement of history: This is an antique industrial belt drive Grinding / Buffing Machine manufactured by the J. G. Blount Company of Everett, Massachusetts, U.S.A. The J.G. Blount catalog from 1924 lists a Model No. 5. Our machine was built prior to 1924 (not sure how much prior to 1924). It was used in the machine shop of the Sligo Furnace Company in Sligo, MO, which went into business in 1882 and ceased operations in 1921. It was the longest operating wood-fired smelter in United States history.
