Like some of my vintage tools this piece is an inherited tool. My uncle, who had reached a point in his life when he felt it no longer safe to pursue his wood working passion, decided to give his tools to family members. He turned this lathe over to me with the "How to use your Lathe" book and a few pieces of unfinished projects and said enjoy. I used this lathe for the last 21 years and have indeed enjoyed it! I made no modifications but simply added this table in recent months. It folds against the wall to save space in my crowded shop, though I have seldom done so. It stands ready for the next project.
