Just picked this up today... I'm looking for a 1/2 to 3/4 hp craftsman motor to use with the flexible shaft I recently purchased and saw this on CL... figured the seller was just probably mistaken when they listed it as a 5 Horsepower Craftsman electric motor. They weren't. It is huge. I've named it "El Gordo" (the fat one).

One Phase 5hp, 24amps is all I have on it at the moment... more tomorrow when it is light.

Haven't had time to fully inspect it yet, but it looks like it has never been used. Think it is 1973 ish vintage and as far as I can tell the only one on this site so far.
