I believe this is a no. 4 buffer as per the 1924 L. G. Blount catalog. It was in service at F.L. Anderson Fire equipment supply in Baltimore City. It appears to have been sold by the Fairbanks location in Baltimore. They added a tensioner to the left side and put on a sanding belt. On the right side they had a chain hanging from the ceiling where they would support bells for polishing. I acquired this when the company moved in 10/2013.
