I bought this table saw from a dealer in Milwaukee and have been very happy with my purchase. Features a whopping 10hp Doerr motor...that ought to be enough. I replaced all the bearing that the sliding table runs on, and that has been it, as far as needed repairs. Zero rust. Managed to get a compass atachment thrown in on the deal and believe it might be from an early Oliver.
This saw replaced a Powermatic #66 5hp, which I used non-stop for almost 20 years and although the 66 was a fine machine, this one is really superb. The size to the cast iron top in conjunction with the T-slot miter gauge allows for crosscutting large materials...around 20''. I've grown to like the massive fence. Have found an interesting arrangement for the out feed table-a second Tanniwitz XJ that runs a dedicated 12'' dado set. Both run 3phase 230v.
In the years that we've had this,we have rarley needed to use the sliding feature but it's there if the need arises.
Worth every penny.
