My father just passed away. I am helping to clean his garage and in the corner, under a pile of other stuff, I found this machine. He was a wood worker for many years. In the 1960's and 1970's he owned his own furniture manufacturing business. It looks to me like a foot activated, horizontal drill press with an adjustable height platform for the material. I plugged it in to see if it worked and it only hummed. I would like to know exactly what this is, what was it used for, is it rare, does it have any value?
