This is a 1946 DOALL model ML-16 bandsaw. It has a 16" cutting capacity and a speed range from 50 to 1500 feet / min. The table tilts 10 degrees forward and backward, and 10 degrees to the left and 45 degrees to the right. The entire unit is cast iron and is very solid and strong. When running it is smooth and quite with minimal vibration. The bandsaw speed is infinitely adjustable with a low and high range that reads out on the blade speed gauge. Operation is very simple, with a single on / off button. You simply rotate the dial on the front of the unit to select the material you are cutting. Then read the numbers to select the correct blade speed for the thickness material you are cutting. There are lots of attachments but they take some searching to find.

I purchased this machine from an industrial clearing house in Ohio. It had all of the parts, some accessories, the labels were all in great shape, and in unit was generally great condition. It had one unhappy problem, the table trunnion was broken. However, because of this we got a great price, and once we brought the unit home we made a new trunnion as shown in the pictures below. The bandsaw runs fantastic, and never ceases to amaze me how well it will cut. I strongly recommend a DOALL like this one to anyone interested in buying one.
