Comments:
I bought this off an on-line auction site (not flea-bay) in March (2013) and collected it at Easter. Missing parts include: feed arm and pawl; crank arm & handle; table; bottom bracket; and the table shaft is hollow steel tube so I doubt it's original either. And I'm sure the colour is not what it was wearing when it left the factory. There is a repair to the main casting (well done as the casting seems well aligned), and cracks in three of the four flywheel spokes.

Run of feed = 3"; dia. of spindle = 7/8"; crank cog has 46 teeth; spindle cog has 30 teeth; flywheel shaft cog has 22 teeth.

It came with a good Jacobs chuck.

This will be a long term restoration as I'm still working on my previous post drill (a "Dawn" 611 made in Melbourne, Australia), and I'm hoping to source another Can.B&F No.61 for parts.

Update (10th May 2015): The drill has been reassembled using the flywheel off a second No.61. Also from the second No.61 are the auto-feed arm & pawl; the crank arm; and possibly some other small components. I've also had a new auto-feed limiting bolt made up for me, based on measurements taken from photographs. Still needs a table (currently bolted to a cabinet above my SCMS table), a bolt for the crank arm, and a repair to the auto-feed pawl (which has it's counter-weight missing).

The colour is not as blue as it appears in the 5th photo, but more like that in the 6th photo. This colour, Resene Paints Limited - Ebony Clay (N34-006-264), is colour-matched to paint found on the second No.61 post drill, which I believe may be original factory paint.
