Comments:
This rare machine was seen on eBay from seller "stonehousevintage". It is a No. 5 Combination Woodworker that was introduced in March 1918. In May 1918 Elliot announced that he had "disposed of his United States plant at Detroit". If these two dates are taken at face value then this machine is from the first half of 1918, and most likely from March or April. (The label, visible in the second set of pictures, gives the Detroit location.)

Elliot Woodworkers were intended for on-site use by house carpenters and the like. This particular example is partially disassembled, but the ad (see the last image) shows how the pieces should be arranged. The 14" over-table saw can be used for ripping or crosscutting. When crosscutting, the wood is held stationary and the saw assembly slides toward the operator. The jointer is intended primarily for cleaning up the ripped edges. A dado head was available and would have been used for cutting stair stringers.
