When i found this it gave me one of those 'i really do want that' moments. As is usually the way i couldn't afford it at the time and certainly couldn't justify affording it, i am very glad i found a way to though as i suspect it would be some time if ever before i might have had another opportunity like it. I think it would have had a sliding tool rest at some point, as there are a pair of substantial dovetail ways at one end of the trough.
The stone is 46" diameter and 7" wide, but the trough would accomodate a stone a good couple of inches larger in diameter.

Here you can see the dovetail slides that must have carried some sort of tool rest/holder once upona time.

An early catalogue image i have found amongst the reproductions listed for viewing on this site. It shows a very similar looking machine with what i imagine as a tool slide must have been part of mine at some time.
