This lathe was in my fathers shop when I was a kid back in the 1950's. Turned my first baseball bat on this when I was 12. After dad passed away, I inherited the lathe and had a new stand made for it. (Dad did not buy the ShopMaster Stand, but made one out of angle iron). The new stand is designed to make oversized turning easier, with an adjustable tool rest out side the head stock.
