This saw, and a few other period machines, were used in the carpentry shop of the Great Falls Manufacturing company in Somersworth, NH. All four machines survived a big fire at the complex and sat for several years in an abandoned building, as they had for perhaps all of their years. Pending redevelopment of the buildings prompted a clean out, and the machines were listed for sale.
